Every tree on the map.
TreeWizard records every tree digitally at its GPS position — trunk diameter and species. Your entire acreage in one file, growing along with you.
For many avenue tree growers, measuring is still done by hand. It costs hours, in the field and in the office. And because the data passes through several steps before it reaches the system, mistakes creep in.
AgroWizard turns that manual work into a single digital record. Every tree in its place, measurement and update in the same file. You start small — with your stock book — and build it out until your entire acreage is on the map.
Where it comes from
From potato growing, translated to the tree nursery.
Precision agriculture starts with yield measurement. Arable farmer Jacob van den Borne showed that you can only improve in a targeted way once you measure what comes off the land — and that you can stack that knowledge year after year until you manage by the square metre.
Around 2013, Han Fleuren and Yannick Smedts translated that idea to tree growing at the Fleuren nursery. Because in the tree nursery, the girth of the trunk determines the value of the tree. Measure every trunk, build up the growth history, and you can start managing at tree level.
That is how AgroWizard came about.
In practice
Over ten years of development, together with growers.
Volentis
A customer since the first generation — kept testing and thinking along until it worked.
In use
Several nurseries have mapped their entire acreage digitally with the AgroWizard system.
From the field
Every improvement comes from use at the nursery itself, not from a test rig.
The approach
How it works.
One complete solution: the measuring hardware, the measuring app and the online data platform. You do the measuring yourself — on your own quad or narrow-track tractor.
Mount & measure
The rig goes on your vehicle, the camera at one metre height. You drive through the rows at 6–8 km/h and measure every tree from both sides — thousands of trees an hour before you know it.
Everything on the data platform
Every tree with its GPS position and trunk diameter. You add what only you know: species, quality, status, origin.
Mark & update
Someone walks the rows with the pre-marking backpack: quality control, reporting damage and enriching the data. The backpack knows exactly which tree you are standing at — a phone's GPS is never accurate enough for that. Marking saleable stock with a tag afterwards goes very fast.
The difference
What a tape measure does not record.
Measuring by hand and TreeWizard are not comparable. Manual work is a snapshot, different from person to person, and too expensive to repeat often. The camera measures the same way across the board — as often as you want.
- More consistent than a person.
- Faster than your fastest employee.
- Every nursery is different. Together we tune the system to your business, for the best result.
Every tree findable again
Recorded by GPS. You find it again, sell selectively, plant around it.
Whole plots, not a sample
Whole plots are measured in a single pass.
The same every season
Always measured the same way. Growth becomes a line you can follow.
Everything retrievable
Every measurement ever taken of a tree is kept.

TreeWizard 2.0
The system.
The rig goes on your own quad or narrow-track tractor. Cameras and GPS do the work while you drive. What exactly sits under the hood, we would rather show you in the field than on a website.
The data platform
Your whole stock on one map.
All your plots together, every tree with its position, trunk diameter and growth. The measurement history is always retrievable.
- 01Stock that matches the fieldWhat is there is what you see — no list drifting away from reality.
- 02Growth curves per plotFollow growth by species and by block, season after season.
- 03The data stays yoursA link to your ERP is possible.

Beyond avenue trees
Shrubs, specimens and multi-stemmed trees.
For multi-stemmed and feathered trees, specimens and shrubs, it is not the trunk girth that counts but the height and the crown diameter. We determine those automatically from drone imagery, and they appear as data points in the portal alongside your trunk measurements.

About AgroWizard
What we have in mind.
AgroWizard did not come out of a lab. It grew in practice, at the nursery. We like to think along with the grower to make the system work as well as possible on their own business — because every nursery is different.
What we say on this site, we also do. If you see something that is not right, we would like to hear it.
Frequently asked questions
Good to know.
Who does the measuring?
Either is possible. Usually you drive yourself: the rig goes on your own quad or narrow-track tractor, and we make sure everything is set up and that you can work with it. If you prefer to outsource it, we come and measure as a contractor.
Who owns the data?
You do. AgroWizard stores your measurements and shows them back to you, but shares nothing without your permission.
What does it cost?
You buy the measuring hardware. The app and the portal run on a licence, and on top of that comes an annual fee per hectare. What that means for your business, we work out together in conversation.
How accurate is it?
More consistent than a person, and faster than your fastest employee. More importantly: every measurement is taken in exactly the same way, so measurements from different years are comparable with each other.
How do I start?
Get in touch and we will talk through the options. We can come and measure as a contractor, or you take the system into use yourself.
